Our Philosophy, Mission, and Programs

  • We will support all children and their families in their efforts toward independent functioning, positive achievements and personal accomplishments.

Our Programs

Matteson Elementary School District 162 is committed to serving preschool children and their families. It is the District’s belief that preparation for academic success must begin during the child’s early learning years.

Matteson School District 162 offers three preschool programs: Preschool for All (PFA), Preschool for All Expansion Grant (PFAE), and Early Childhood (EC).

Richton Square School S.D. #162 is conducting Preschool Screenings for children ages 3-5.  A screening is a brief assessment of how your child is learning and growing.

All children MUST be screened per grant guidelines prior to entry. Limited space is available.

Children referred from a Birth-3 program, who have a diagnosed disability or suspected disability contact Richton at (708) 283-2706 for additional information.
